Stacci has been teaching for about 17 years - first as a long-term substitute with Cognitively Disabled students, then as an English Professor at Petrozavodsk State University in Russia, and then as a 6-12 Spanish and Social Studies teacher in Wisconsin public schools. She currently serves as a K-12 Gifted and Talented Coordinator.
Stacci is also Google Certified Trainer who is passionate about helping teachers and administrators bridge the gap between having technology skills and integrating technology to increase student engagement. Her series focus not only on acquiring those technical skills, but also on practical application ideas. She is a mother of four, a wife, loves board games, plays in her local community band, and loves paint nights. She has successfully made baklava and cheese, and has a knack for killing houseplants.
Technology's role in this new brand of learning is pivotal: Technology can help teachers manage this learning, let students demonstrate their learning in different ways and provide an easy differentiation tool for teachers. It gives a real audience and meaning to student projects, and lets them become global citizens in the best sense, contributing to making the world a better place.
